The adventurer's arrival coincides with the emergence of a monster residing deep within the dungeon who threatens to envelop the town with its evil influence. FATE (2005), the first game, follows an adventurer and his pet who had arrived at the town of Grove, a resting spot for travellers heading beyond, through the Dungeon Gate.From its humble beginnings as a single game, FATE expanded into a series encompassing two different storylines across four games: If you would like to continue playing FATE, you may "retire" the character in town, and start a descendant, who will inherit some of his or her ancestor's fame as an "heirloom." The highest level that a FATE character can achieve is level 99.FATE is a Diablo clone developed and published by WildTangent.
If you need to reinstall FATE, you can make a backup copy of your character to save your progress. They will commonly be located in the Persistent Folder and can be found in the following locations on most OS types:Ĭ:\ProgramData\WildTangent\fate\persistentĬ:\ProgramData\WildTangent\fateundiscoveredrealms\persistentĬ:\ProgramData\WildTangent\fatethetraitorsoul\persistentĬ:\ProgramData\WildTangent\fatethecursedking\persistent To do so, simply make a copy of the save folder. Please Note: These folders and files may be hidden. You will need to enable hidden files to see them. If your Fate SAVE folder is not in the indicated folder, follow these instructions instead: Once you have reinstalled the game, place the save folder back into the persistent folder, in the same place you found it. Right click on your Fate icon, and choose Properties.On the Shortcut tab, click the Find Target button.Just copy the SAVE folder that is inside the Fate folder to a safe spot.
When you need to restore your characters, follow the steps again to open your Fate folder, and copy the SAVE folder back into it.
If you're installing a newer version of Fate in place of your old one, be sure to follow the steps above to put your characters back in the new folder. If your character is unable to move, due to obstacles in the dungeon, we can help you out.
